Summary:

The Technical Specialist I, On-site Support, is a tier 2 position that performs a variety of duties including, but not limited to, computer troubleshooting in an office/plant environment that includes desktop/portable and remote devices, all peripheral devices, application and enterprise system support; troubleshooting all computer hardware and software issues; performs computer repairs; installation and configuration of standard business software, as well as custom plant related software. The supported user base is primarily onsite within the Cleveland area, but can also include remotely supporting users in remote offices throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the support of end-user desktop, laptop, phone, printers, mobile device hardware, software, and break/fix services.
  • Works with moderate level of guidance: installs, maintains, tests, and repairs systems and networks, by responding to incidents and service requests either in person, by telephone, or via remote access.
  • Provide timely resolution of incidents or escalations on behalf of the customer, to appropriate technical staff.
  • Provides technical support as an individual contributor, analyzing and resolving problems of a comprehensive and complex nature while owning and tracking the issues through resolution.
  • Uses guidelines/policies, knowledge base to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Keep current stats in the tickets.
  • Escalate ticket to appropriate teams, after analyzed and concluded that do not have grant to provide a solution or the same should be done by a higher level.
  • Assisting Desktop Engineers or IT security follow their guidelines as update OS, collect logs from computers, review computer software clients with issues.
  • As needed, the team member will also recommend hardware and software solutions, including new product acquisitions and upgrades. Heshe may conduct training programs designed to educate organization's computer users about basic and specialized applications.
  • Imaging/Deploy desktops/laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Create knowledge base documentation, assisting the IT ServiceDesk resolve the common issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all security, safety and environmental regulations and policies within work area always.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, OR 0-3 years (or more) of technician level experiencein a mission critical environment.
  • 0-3 years (or more) experience supporting Microsoft Desktop/Laptops, Apple technologies and Devices and network connectivity.
  • Proficient with Office 365, including advanced troubleshooting.
  • Ability to resolve technical issues and challenges quickly and effectively.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Management Guidelines.
  • Proactive, with good follow-up and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage time, and follow through with assignments

Preferred:

  • Familiar with ITIL and ITSM processes preferred.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems preferred.
