IT Technician Level 1 (Chicago, IL)

We are looking for a full-time Level 1 Technician who is able to add value to our team by fulfilling these three separate purposes:

1. To study, learn and improve their own knowledge and understanding of technical concepts.

2. To resolve technical issues for clients on-site and remotely; and

3. To serve as a resource for their teammates to handle day to day workloads.

The qualified candidate for this position is expected to be able to resolve the following technical issues with little or no assistance:

• Workstation operating system issues, including those involving basic networking concepts.
• Workstation hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting and replacement of field-serviceable parts.
• Printer issues, including those involving basic networking concepts.
• Standard business application (Office, etc.) issues of any kind with vendor assistance.
• Line-of-business application issues with vendor assistance.
• Basic and intermediate server issues which do not involve advanced networking concepts.

Pay rates start at $18.50/hr. and vary by experience and location.

Pay increase depends on acquisition of certificates. Technicians are expected to take the company sponsored certification at least once every six months upon hiring. Example certifications: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MCDST or MCP.
