Position Specific Description

The Gas Infrastructure IT Technology Lead serves as the Gas Infrastructure team's Business Operations lead and a key business process liaison for designing and implementing larger or cross-functional solutions and toolsets. This position will partner with the Data Engineers/Scientists and Stakeholders at all levels of the organization to develop data driven solutions that provide optimal performance, analytics, visualizations and business insights to drive results and proactively identify and resolve problems.

Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent knowledge of standard concepts, best practices, and procedures within a data warehousing, real-time data feeds, and production management/accounting systems
• Strong technical expertise with MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS
• Understanding of data flows between IT systems supporting various business processes and proficiency of BI reporting and visualization tools

• SCADA and Measurement systems administration experience
• Able to develop rapport and positive relationships leading a high-performance team
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Self-motivated, self-directed and capable of setting priorities and meeting deadlines
• Preferred Languages: Python, PowerShell, SQL/noSQL, .NET, C/C#, R

• Familiarity with O&G data standards and best practices
• Experience utilizing APIs following industry best practices
• Experience with field based mobile applications in support of oil and gas production

Experience:

• 5+ years designing, developing and maintaining IoT systems, SCADA, Measurement and Production Accounting
• Deployed field surveillance solutions for risk mitigation and reduced downtime
• Oil & gas industry experience preferred

Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities to enhance our processes or technology to improve results and translate business needs to technical specifications
• Perform triage, analysis, and corrections or recommendations for reported data issues or analytics requests of advanced complexity, prioritizing to ensure timely results delivery
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
• Optimize SCADA environment for field reporting, alerts, and alarm management
• Operational Technologist with production/measurement systems that can influence and lead to promote industry best practices
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned to support and improve the overall team operations

• Oversees development of processes and tools to automate code releases from development to operations (DevOps)
• Attracts, develops and retains a high-performing and diverse team
• Establishes and drives technology roadmaps that align with current and future business needs
• Manages third party technical and outsourcing relationships to deliver project and operational support objectives
• Ensures technology processes are conducted in line with applicable standards and company policies
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
• Experience: 7+ years
