IT Training & Development Specialist

Position Summary:

Oasys is seeking an IT Training and Development Specialist to join our team in the Fairfax, VA office. The position will support and train designated technology management personnel in system operation and maintenance functions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, analyze, evaluate, advise on, and/or improve the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, workforce utilization, information, and documentation systems.
• Assess training needs through surveys, employee interviews, or managers or instructors consultations.
• Contributes to the completion of specific training programs and projects.
• Provides training solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
• Oversees training and design solutions to develop program management curricula/programs.
• Oversees the delivery of on-site and/or in-house training classes, seminars, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, and discussion groups for customers and/or employees.
• Develops measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction or training interventions.
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant training and technology.
• May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.
• Design and create training manuals, online learning modules, and course materials.
• Review training materials from a variety of sources and choose appropriate materials.
• Deliver training to employees using a variety of instructional techniques.
• Assist in the evaluation of training programs.
• Perform administrative tasks such as monitoring costs, scheduling classes, setting up systems and equipment, and coordinating enrollment.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of five years of work experience as a Training and Development Specialist.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication.
• Requires Microsoft Office Suite experience, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous SBA experience is a huge plus.
• Previous management consulting experience.
• Experience with a federal agency as a contractor or federal employee.
