Job description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A direct-hire opportunity is available for a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist working night shifts in a 503A mail order pharmacy setting. This role centers on providing personalized healthcare solutions through expert sterile and non-sterile compounding services, ensuring that patients receive individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs. Location: Arlington, TX (with duties based in Dallas, TX) Schedule: • Shift A: 6:30 PM 2:30 AM • Shift B: 12:30 AM 7:30 AM Responsibilities include: • Reviewing and verifying compounded and non-compounded prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate dosing, and compliance with 503A and state regulations, while considering patient-specific factors such as allergies and drug interactions. • Overseeing overnight sterile and non-sterile compounding operations, ensuring adherence to USP standards, aseptic technique, and proper documentation. • Collaborating with pharmacy technicians in the preparation, verification, packaging, and release of compounded products, while monitoring inventory to maintain continuity. • Maintaining compliance with quality assurance protocols, including documentation and performing checks aligned with USP, DEA, state, and internal standards. • Communicating clinical guidance, documenting interventions, addressing patient or provider concerns, and responding to urgent orders or emergencies promptly. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Active, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist License • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy • Required sterile compounding experience in accordance with USP standards • Preferred experience with USP 797 and USP 800 sterile compounding guidelines • Familiarity with LifeFile or PK software systems is advantageous • Prior experience in a high-volume pharmacy environment preferred Benefits include access to 401(k), comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off.
