IVY Ecosystems - Business Development Manager
We are seeking a high energy professional to identify, attract, onboard and develop relevant solution partners for BlackBerry IVY, the new automotive data platform built and marketed in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
JOIN US and build relationships with key target partners, as well as with internal BlackBerry and AWS key stakeholders.
The candidate will identify the most relevant and attractive use cases and applications for the IVY partner ecosystem, build alliances with the most successful and valuable partners in such areas and onboard them to drive the adoption of IVY by these 3rd-party application providers (beyond the core automakers/OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers). He/she will work very closely with colleagues in Blackberry IVY business development, product and ecosystem teams, as well as with BlackBerry QNX teams and with the AWS teams. He/she will develop strategy, marketing and alliance plans to support IVY adoption and sales in designated market segments and with volume / strategic partners. He/she will proactively build and nurture select professional relationships across the target segments of the mobility markets, act as partner advocate inside BlackBerry. He/she may also use market data to identify trends/opportunities for partnerships, recommend strategic direction for the development of the IVY ecosystem, and create compelling presentation materials for customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Understand the connected automotive ecosystem, its key players, along with existing and future partners. Work alongside the Amazon Web Services and Blackberry IVY teams to identify the most valuable solution and developer partners to attract to the IVY platform ecosystem.
- Establish and nurture productive new business relationships and partnerships across the relevant mobility segments.
- Develop and communicate to ecosystem partners the value of leveraging IVY as part of their automotive offerings.
- Work with other parts of Blackberry IVY and QNX organizations to develop a targeted 'partner offering' including marketing collateral, development toolkits, reference materials, onboarding processes, operational & technical support, etc.
- Drive IVY adoption by ecosystem partners and drive (direct or indirect) revenue from the usage of IVY in their solutions.
- Assist partners in developing solutions/demos/proof of concepts based on IVY. Work alongside teams in IVY to support design wins involving core OEM/Tier 1 customers and ecosystem partners.
- Gather and distil product feedback from ecosystem partners and communicate it to the IVY product management and strategy teams.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Entrepreneurial spirit and track record and ability to operate in nascent organizations where a degree of initial ambiguity may be expected
- Experienced in partner portfolio management
- Ability to understand highly technical concepts, embedded automotive technology, and systems.
- Technical proficiency: able to independently drive initial partner explorations and product-focused meetings/workshops with partners without involved support from R&D/engineering
- Commercially minded. Able to network in the automotive industry and build strong business and personal relationships with partners.
- Self-motivated, driven, hands-on and independent: can navigate organizational complexities independently, tackle obstacles, and deliver results without excessive supervision.
- Strong communicator, including technical concepts. Is comfortable and effective in pitching IVY to a technical and non-technical audience.
- Highly desirable skills include past experience, and business network in the automotive & mobility sectors, and experience in building partnerships & ecosystems from definition to delivery.
- Degrees in computer science or engineering would be a plus!
