Job Description
As a Data Scientist at IBM you will help transform our clients’ data into tangible business value by analyzing information communicating outcomes and collaborating on product development. Work with Best in Class open source and visual tools along with the most flexible and scalable deployment options. Your Role and Responsibilities
*Business-level Japanese (N1) is required for this position.

You will be part of a new data team in the consulting division which will work with top companies worldwide and in Japan to create a vision of how data should be utilised by presenting concrete results of data analysis and realising this with a proven track record.
The role will also support the upstream phase such as data strategy development and the downstream phase such as on-site operational support as required to promote data utilisation.
In this position you will be responsible for:

Supporting clients in discovering analysing and utilising their dead data for real business purposes.

Upstream and downstream activities such as data strategy development and on-site operational support as necessary to maximise value.

Identification of business issues through quantitative research (evaluation of business indicators) and qualitative research (interviews with management).

Data assessment/cleansing/analysis/suggestions
-
Support for business coordination and implementation of measures for business actions based on data suggestions.

Prepare documents using PowerPoint and Excel.

Ability to analyse data using Python.

Interpersonal skills to communicate smoothly with clients and members of the team.

Interviewing skills with end-users.

Experience in creating documents using PowerPoint.

Experience in using basic Excel functions.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Working experience in data analysis using Python (at least 5 years).

Language skills: English (TOEIC score of 730 or above)

Data utilisation.

Understand customers’ requirements and pain points.

Formulate solutions with speed and a sense of responsibility.
