Janitor

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks and requires a proactive approach to facilities maintenance. Duties • Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas. • Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness. • Handle commercial cleaning tasks with attention to detail to ensure all surfaces are sanitized and presentable. • Assist with custodial duties in both residential and industrial settings as needed. • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any shortages or maintenance needs promptly. • Carry out minor maintenance tasks and assist with facilities upkeep to ensure a safe working environment. • Collaborate with team members to complete larger cleaning projects efficiently. Qualifications • Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided. • Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus. • Experience in commercial cleaning or industrial environments is advantageous. • Knowledge of residential painting and porter experience can enhance your application. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions effectively. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Good physical stamina; ability to lift moderate weights and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
