House of Neighborly Service Position Title:Facilities Maintenance Assistant Supervisor:Facilities Maintenance Supervisor Classification:Non-Exempt Position Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Assistant helps maintain a thriving campus environment. This role will involve a variety of tasks such as maintenance and upkeep of HNS properties. Qualifications: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required • MUST pass a background check • Valid driver's license (no accidents or moving violations within the last three years) • Follow proper safety guidelines and protocols - especially in environments surrounding students • Monday through Friday schedule - potential weekend work as needed • Must be able to work independently and be detail oriented • Ability to lift 60 lbs. or other heavy objects. • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time. • Excellent time management skills Responsibilities: • Maintain and cleans interior and exterior of HNS facilities. • Walk the grounds with close attention to needs and updates • Clean and organize maintenance storage rooms and supplies. • Keep inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies. • Clean sidewalks and parking areas. • Pick up and dispose of trash, debris, branches and similar items. • Operates electrical and gasoline-powered equipment. • Pick up groceries for Kitchen staff as needed. • Deliver senior meals as needed. • Performs other duties as assigned. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $16.00 per hour Schedule: • Day shift • Monday to Friday • Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
