Janitorial Technician

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Duties • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in assigned areas. • Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness. • Handle commercial cleaning duties in offices, restrooms, and common areas to ensure a sanitary environment. • Assist with custodial tasks including trash removal, restroom sanitation, and replenishing supplies. • Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to management. • Maintain equipment used for cleaning and ensure it is in good working condition. • Occasionally assist with residential painting or porter duties as needed. Experience • Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory. • Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus. • Experience in floor care methods such as buffing and waxing is advantageous. • Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices will be beneficial. • A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and safety standards is essential.
