Japanese-Fluent Writer (News)

Responsibilities

Siliconera is the go-to place for international video game news, hands-on impressions, and interviews you won't see anywhere else on the net. Currently, we're looking for freelance writers who love the gaming industry to join our team and expand our coverage. This is a fully remote, freelance position.

Working with Siliconera means having the opportunity to write about a variety of video game topics, while writing fluent Japanese news. Our team is enthusiastic and international. If you have deep knowledge of and/or experience writing about any of the games listed below, please mention that in your cover letter!

Responsibilities:

• Write a minimum of 20 articles per month (But you're welcome to write more!)
• Follow trending topics and stay up-to-date on all things gaming
• Pitch new article topics

Requirements:

• At least 1+ years of prior editorial/journalistic writing experience
• Deep knowledge of video games and their related communities
• Ability to write fluently in the English language
• Fluent in Japanese
• Familiarity with Wordpress is a bonus

Rates: $11 to $21 per piece, depending on content type and length. (The average article for this position will be $11.) Rates for international candidates may vary, based on location.
