Salary Range: $100k to $125k

A Brief Overview
As a Java Developer at FirstBank, you will be part of a highly-skilled and cross-functional Software Delivery Team. You will develop, test, and deploy Java software changes for our Fraud Detection platforms within a distributed applications environment. You will collaborate with business sponsors, application architects, business analysts, automation testers, DBAs and others in all phases of our Business and Technology projects. You will also maintain and support these applications in our production and non-production environments.
What you will do

• Perform development, testing, and maintenance for new and existing applications
• Collaborate with your team on project and application design
• Support production and non-production systems and applications
• Manage projects from analysis through implementation
• Maintain appropriate documentation
• Make suggestions for improving development processes
• Collaborate with 3 rd -party vendors on FirstBank projects
• Pursue formal and informal educational opportunities to expand knowledge and improve skills
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• A combination of post-high school education, job related certification and related experience equivalent to 5 years may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
• Experience with Enterprise-level Fraud Detection Applications

• Demonstrated experience with Java:
• RESTful services: Jersey, Spring Boot
• Kafka, J2EE, JDBC, Axis2, JAMS, SOAP Services
• Object-oriented (OO) methodologies and technologies
• Git, GitHub and change control concepts
• JUnit and unit testing strategies
• SQL and database concepts
• Eclipse or IntelliJ and their configuration
• Scrum, Kanban and other Agile development methodologies
• Confluence, JIRA and other collaboration technologies
• Network and Infrastructure technologies, LDAP, Dynatrace
• Oracle WebSphere Liberty Server
• Information security concepts and techniques
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good problem solving and customer service skills
• Finally, demonstrated ability to successfully develop and implement projects

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Frequently remains stationary throughout a typical business day
• Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
• Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other rooms
• Occasionally positions self to access drawers and shelves of various heights
• Frequently reaches for and handles paperwork and files
• Constantly communicates with customers, coworkers, and management in-person and on the phone
• Must be able to exchange accurate information
