Role Description

The Rates & Credit Dealer-to-Client eTrading platform is used daily by DB Fixed Income Traders Globally. The system provides DB’s liquidity on Rates&Credit financial products to 10+ world's biggest multi-dealer platforms, receives and handle clients’ trading requests to execute trades, capture and service the trades through their sometimes 50year life cycle. Product range is wide - starting from Bonds, extending to REPO, IRS and ending with Exotic Portfolios. Dealing with complex financial products, we build these systems with a traceability and recoverability in mind. Wide diversity of products allows to see different styles of processing but also requires technology expertise to find reuse opportunities between various processing flows and products. 

As a Java Engineer you will be involved in development of one of our next generation platforms for Rates & Credit Trading.

dbSelect offer highly customized solutions, beyond what most managers could provide themselves to their investors, something that very few banks have the capability of doing.

Typical use cases involve international distribution capabilities, bespoke derivative access, leverage, or just simplified access to a basket of active managers.

dbSelect both enhances the manager’s capabilities and makes allocating to hedge funds easier and more flexible for investors.

You will be playing a role of Java engineer designing, developing and testing our multi component system running in Kubernetes.

Your key responsibilities

• Work with existing code base and develop new
• Contribute to quality assurance by writing unit, integration and functional tests
• Analyze requirements, design and document final solution
• Participate in all cycles of software development
• Learn new technologies to apply in new developments

Your skills and experience

• Great knowledge of Core Java, standard library
• Good knowledge of modern SDLC tool stack – Bitbucket, Jira, Artifactory, Jenkins/TeamCity, etc
• Industry standard frameworks is a plus
• Experience with modern Web UI technologies is a plus
• Knowledge and ability to work with complex SQL queries (Oracle) is a plus
• Experience with Doker, Kubernetes is a plus
• Fluent written and spoken English
