As a Java Full-Stack Developer, you will use cutting edge cloud and data technologies to help global brands and federal agencies solve challenging problems through innovative technology solutions. Must have a Minimum of 5 Years of Application development experience

What You'll Be Doing

  • Work in a team with other smart AIS employees using cutting edge technologies to solve challenging business problems
  • Build elegant, scalable, extensible, cost-effective solutions with an eye towards innovation and agility
  • Utilize problem-solving and decision-making skills to understand client pain points and to self- troubleshoot as challenges arise
  • Collaborate with other members of the development team and project managers to deliver solutions that surpass client expectations while meeting deadlines and budgets
  • Design, write, unit test, and document application code to successfully deliver project-based work
  • Work in an agile environment with participation in daily stand-ups/scrum

    Design, write, test, troubleshoot, and document application code
  • Provide mentorship to junior Developers
  • Learn new technologies and be aware of industry standards, best practices, and trends

Location and Travel Details

This position sits on-site in Doral, Florida.

Security Clearance and Citizenship Requirements

Must have an active Secret or Top Secret clearance

Profile of Success

  • Minimum of 5 years with Java Development
    • Minimums 2 years experience with React through 17.2
  • Bootstrap 5 for CSS
  • gl 8.6
  • High proficiency in Java - Developing the server-side code in Java and deployed the JARs to the server
  • Maven - familiarity with MVN commands and MVN repositories
  • Experience with ActiveMQ and ws02 carbon version 3.0
  • Deploying to a RedHat Server/Linux/CentOS
  • NodeJS - Experience installing node modules and using npm package management CLI
  • High proficiency in using Git for version control
  • Familiarity with JIRA as a ticket and project management tool
  • Experience with legacy languages and frameworks - such as Angular.js 1.7, Node.js, ES6, Webpack, React, Mootools, Vue, and jQuery
  • Knowledge of WSDLs for web services
  • SOAP Requests and XML data structures
  • Knowledge of KML, KMZ, and GeoJSON file types
  • Basic understanding of front-end development in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Developing and maintaining Geo-Spatial Web Application
  • Understanding of Radar Data formats such as NMEA, OTG Gold, and AIS data
  • Understanding, writing, and executing database queries in SQL
  • Maintaining Postgres and H2 Databases
  • Familiarity with Intellij Ultimate and Visual Studio Code

Desirable Skills

  • Previous agile/Scrum experience
  • Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, O365, AWS), SharePoint (2013+), .NET Core, and Dynamics
  • Front end web development background with Angular and/or React
  • Desire to obtain or utilize relevant technical certifications as part of continuous professional growth
