Our Team:

Enterprise Data Management is focused on delivering the firm's master data strategy, implementing enterprise data policies & governance, driving a holistic access to data via our data Lake, and enabling the business to deliver advanced outcomes for ourselves and our customers using AI/ML techniques.

In the process of focusing on this agenda - we participate in the remediation of data centric regulation. We help our operations teams transform how we operate, while optimizing our data centric cost structure and reducing our operating & regulatory risk, and provide innovative, data centric commercial opportunities.

The Role:

The Data Masking Service team within the Data Management and Integration organization provides services across the bank for protecting highly confidential data and personal information. The team has implemented an in-house solution for data protection and is now expanding the functionality to support the Enterprise Data Lake and data pipeline to cloud service providers. This position will join the development team in that effort as well as to incorporate machine learning and artificial intelligence components to further automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides application software development and support. Understands data and workflows, system interfaces and messaging.
• Analyses business issues and works with the Agile development team to develop application design solutions.
• Contributes to release planning and takes ownership of delivery.
• Provides leadership and mentoring to junior developers in implementing best practices and continuous delivery.
• Contributes to moving the tools forward with new technologies and work with Enterprise Architecture to integrate with their enterprise strategy.

Qualifications

Required:

• Intermediate understanding of security principles, relational databases and architecture design principles.
• 9-11 years JAVA experience
• 5 years Oracle database experience
• 2-5 years SQL Server database experience
• 2-5 years mainframe experience
• 2-5 years DB2 database experience
• Kafka messaging
• Micro services application architecture
• API development
• 2-5 years Angular
• Spring Boot Microservices Framework
• Apache HTTP server
• Knowledge of Apache Spark and PySpark a plus
• Design diagrams i.e. sequence diagram, activity diagram, etc.

Preferred:

• App Engine experience a plus
• Cloud service experience a plus
• Vertica database experience a plus
• MongoDB database experience a plus
• Kudu database experience a plus

Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. 10-14 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus. Job holder must have understanding interdependencies and business impact of future IT plans. S/he must have prior lead experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and prior consulting experience with structured methodologies. Job holder must have broad experience with multi-platform development tools and toolkits.
