The HealthSight Connectivity Engine (HSCE) team, within the Technology Solutions business unit of Becton Dickinson (BD), delivers the next generation integration platform for our customers. We develop a cloud native scalable connectivity platform for our customers using a combination of open-source technologies as well as custom developed software. Our product enables seamless integration between systems which provides superior solutions for our customers. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support healthcare software products/services of enterprise-grade level
• Be an integral part of a scrum team participating in sprint planning, story-point estimation, development, daily stand-ups & sprint retrospectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Testing/QA/Product Security) to ensure software being delivered is of high quality and free of security vulnerabilities
• Be responsible for writing unit tests and technical documentation
• Foster and demonstrate a spirit of continuous process improvement

Qualifications:

• Minimum of bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering degree
• Knowledge of Java, C#, or C++ (1+ years)
• Knowledge of cloud-based development practices utilizing PAS services, with preference for AWS
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies (1+ years)
• Knowledge of web-development practices, including JavaScript, Angular and back-end design for optimized performance.
• Linux experience

Desired / Additional Skills & Knowledge:

• Prior internship experience in software development capacity
• Knowledge of the open-source framework Apache Camel
• Development experience with messaging technologies like ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, or Kafka
• Knowledge of Enterprise Integration Patterns and developing integration solutions
• Knowledge of healthcare domain, including HL7, FHIR, IHE, and health data integration.
• CI/CD DevOps experience using technologies like Terraform, Octopus
