Java/AWS Software Engineer

Job Description As a member of JPMorgan Asset and Wealth Management's Production and Infrastructure Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You'll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You'll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what's being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you'll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world as we make strides into the public cloud domain.
An ideal candidate will:

• Collaborate with a diversified high-performing multi-location team
• Design technical solutions to business requirements
• Follow and promote agile methodologies, especially scrum/Kanban
• Have excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
• Have a strong understanding of DevOps methodologies/practice

Minimum Requirements:

• B.S. in Computer Science/related technical degree and/or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in Java
• Experience developing applications for Pubic Cloud: AWS
• Strong infrastructure knowledge required including Unix, Windows, networking, and scripting
• Experience with orchestration tools like Jenkins CI/CD, or Jules
• Experience following source control best practices: Git/bitbucket
• Experience with database development (SQL / Oracle)
• Understanding of architecture and design across distributed systems
• Experience writing and executing test cases (Unit Testing & End to End)

Strongly Preferred:

• Knowledge of Angular 6+ and ES2015+
• Full Stack Development (MVC/MVVM)
• Knowledge of Spring
• MyBatis/JDBC technologies
• Experience using Pivotal Cloud Foundry a plus
• Understanding of Product Management a plus
• Experience with data visualization software a plus
• Understanding of SRE concepts a plus
