JD Logistics - Supply Chain Solution Manager, Air & Sea/Freight Forwarding

Location: City of Industry, CA/Fontana, CA

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Work with operations teams and vendors to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective proposals for Air, Sea, and local Trucking transportation projects.
• Participate in periodic tenders within an assigned client, territory, industry, or market.
• Collaboration with internal departments with customers on service proposals, rate quotations, and air/ocean transportation schedules for possible destinations. Manage ad hoc pricing requests.
• Conduct market research and improve Port-to-Port/ Door to Door transportation solutions and SOPs to qualify new business opportunities. Resolve sales or delivery issues. Engage in troubleshooting with the operation team.
• Recommend and offer solutions for customer needs regarding regulations, methods of loading, crating, handling freight, and special equipment availability.
• Ensure the highest level of service by collaborating with branch operations in identifying and resolving problems and leveraging industry expertise and account management experience. May coordinate shipments with shippers, operations, truckers, and carriers on behalf of the Customers.

Qualifications And Attributes

• Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, logistics, or other related major;
• Work for at least 3 years in the Logistics/ Freight Forwarding industry with the resource of the vendor in Sea, Air, FTL, LTL, etc.
• Knowledge of N.A. transportation operation processes (TL, LTL, Parcel, Cross-border) with high analytical proficiencies
• Ability to develop strategies and tactics to meet existing and new clients' needs and provide customized solutions.
• Highly organized and results-oriented.Develop standard operating procedures for Key accounts.
• Demonstrated ability and flexibility in adapting to a constantly changing environment.
• Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to interact effectively and efficiently with different stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to plan, organize, prioritize, multi-task, and use time effectively. Demonstrates attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities effectively
• Bilingual proficiency in Chinese Mandarin and English is preferred,
