Sundance is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Jewelry Manager to support our retail team in Lone Tree, CO. Sundance is a leading omni-channel specialty retailer with headquarters located in Salt Lake City, UT. Summary

The Jewelry Manager drives store sales by delivering outstanding customer service, providing persistent attention to detail in supervising the jewelry department and offering general support to the management team. 

Duties & Responsibilities

Customer Service/Sales

1. Lead by example by providing excellent customer service to customers.
2. Act as the manager on duty on the sales floor when scheduled.
3. Develop the customer sales book of jewelry customers.
4. Listen to customers and use their feedback to improve service levels in the jewelry area but with a focus on the store in general.
5. Achieve store budget sales, payroll and inventory goals. Analyze jewelry sales trends and develop plans to maximize profits and minimize costs.
6. Execute operational tasks as directed, with a keen eye on the bottom line profitability of the store.
7. Be familiar with all operations of the store and able to assist where needed.
8. Exceed the expectations and requirements of both the internal and external customer.
9. Provide ongoing sales and product training for the staff to achieve sales goals.
10. A key responsibility will be to focus on the jewelry area. Along with the Store Manager, act as the liaison between the store and the support office.

Store Teams

1. Conduct product knowledge training of the staff and encourage a store environment where turnover is kept to a minimum.
2. Provide challenging goals and assignments to team to ensure all associates are trained and performing to company expectations.
3. Motivate and develop associates by providing frequent developmental discussions, product training, sales and service techniques. Assists in writing and delivering store associate reviews.
4. Train the staff in jewelry product knowledge including making them aware of new items, top sellers, special artisans, and their unique relationship to Sundance.

Standards of Operations

1. Maintain disciplines for visual standards and store cleanliness.
2. Monitor inventory procedures and see that shrink goals are met.
3. Keep tight controls and management of all jewelry stock/inventory while maintaining a tidy, organized and secured work area.
4. Keep all jewelry in its appropriate location clearly labeled and on display.
5. Consistently enforce all company policies and procedures. Perform opening/closing procedures and ensure bank deposits are done daily.
6. Keep open and responsive communication with Store Manager and District Manager.
7. Guard the jewelry assets and maintain company policy on inventory control and loss prevention as it relates to the jewelry area. Manage jewelry inventory cycle counts on a regular basis as is specified by company policy.
8. Assist the management team in store opening, closing and general floor supervision as needed. Consistently demonstrate and uphold the Sundance culture with the utmost integrity.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a related field required, BS or BA preferred
• 3+ years retail management experience, including previous specialty retail experience with management responsibilities
• Experience with a premium brand retailer
• Experience in an environment where customer service is highly regarded
• Computer literacy including use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Additional Information

The pay range for this position is between $22-$23 per hour.
