Job Summary:

In this role you will apply your technical expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis. Whether balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders or supporting more senior staff on complex projects, you use data and analysis and apply your experience, judgment, and risk mindset across your responsibilities. This role you will:

• Administer, develop and support our Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence) instances
• Gather requirements for business processes, and determine ways to optimize/improve JIRA setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality can/cannot meet user requests
• Create standardize "schemes", screens, fields queries, reports and dashboards
• Architect roles and permissions structure
• Create custom web hooks and build integrations in other systems
• JIRA & Confluence plugin integration and configuration
• Capture and evangelize tips / best practices for MUFG to make the most effective use of Atlassian tools
• Provide JIRA training to users
• Ensure optimum performance, high availability and stability of solutions
• Design and develop applications, system to system interfaces, and complete software solutions
• Create documentation such as user guides and software development guides
• Develop advanced code and perform code review

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience
• Minimum 5-6 years of software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience in a modern language such as Scala, Java, Python, C#
• 5+ years of experience with web technologies: Restful Services, JavaScript
• 5+ years of experience in a highly regulated environment (e.g., financial, government, healthcare, etc.)
• Significant programming experience in at least one of Groovy, Java, Java Script, Perl and/or .NET or equivalent
• Significant experience in working with script runner, post functions, creating and managing workflows, schemas for complex projects
• Experience with API integrations to/from Atlassian products
• Strong troubleshooting skills on tooling and server-side issues
• Familiarity with Windows & Unix/Linux administration
• Familiar with DevOps toolchain, i.e. Bit-Bucket, Jenkins Pipeline, Artifactory or Nexus, and experienced in automate and deploy n-tier application stack in cloud native environments
• Excellent data & system analysis, data mapping, and data profiling skills
• Able to comfortably handle more simultaneous customer requests than most
• Demonstrate good understanding of modern, cloud-native application models and patterns
• Interest in adapting new technologies to continuously improve processes & tools
• Excellent collaboration skills and a passion for problem solving, with the ability to work alternative coverage schedules
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required due to the dynamic nature of collaboration with leadership, customers, and other engineering teams
