Jira Administrator (Contract)
Job Description
Fox Robotics is at the bleeding edge of warehouse automation, with a focus on autonomous forklifts. As the leader in this space, Fox has clear product market fit and is scaling fast, with plans to double from ~100 employees to nearly 200 this year alone. With this growth, employees have a once-in-a-career opportunity to learn, all while working as part of a mission-driven team focused on making robots that work.
We're looking for a (contract) JIRA Admin to help us temporarily in an effort to evaluate our current ticketing system. This will be a short-term contract, estimating 2-3 months of work.Â
What you’ll do:
- Analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement for both Jira instances and Confluence spaces
- Testing and delivery of solutions, workflows, tools, plugins, and integrations with various applications and other Jira projects to validate functionality and compatibility
- Drive business analysis and functional requirements sessions with stakeholders
- Clearly document required functionality for review / approval
- Build, and customize additional projects, automations, workflows, screens and screen schemes, custom fields and field configurations, permissions, tools, and users according to the needs of projects and teams
What you’ll need:Â
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline
- 4+ years’ experience as JIRA Administrator with experience customizing JIRA projects with various schemes and complex workflows
- Hands-on experience working with the Atlassian product suite, with specific focus on Jira Service Management, customer portals, SLAs, queues, customer accounts, etc.
- Experience in the design, build, customization, and roll out of advanced Jira workflows, schemes and automations
- Knowledge and application of best practices for JSM/Jira
- Expert level Atlassian tool administration knowledge on JIRA and Confluence
- Ability to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language)
- Ability to construct custom dashboards using various filter types in JIRA
- Ability to construct Confluence pages and integrate JIRA projects with Confluence pages
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and agile environment
- Must have a strong work ethic with good time management skills to manage multiple responsibilities with conflicting priorities and tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice to have: Â
- Experience developing custom plugins for JSM/Jira
- Expertise using Python
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Position may involve some interfacing with customers
Benefits and perks:
- A once in a career opportunity to build, alongside colleagues who deeply care (plus robots that aren’t bad, either!)
- Competitive hourly salary (open to consultants and contractors only)
We envision a world where robots serve as a human multiplier for dull and dangerous work. The warehousing industry sees more than 52,000 cases of injuries every year in the US. Our first product is an automated trailer unloader (forklift) that quickly demonstrates measurable value to our customers by both improving efficiency while also increasing safety.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
