YOUR OPPORTUNITY

InMoment is looking for an experienced Jira Administrator with demonstrated expertise in:

  • SDLC methodologies
  • JIRA/Confluence/BitBucket
  • JIRA API and webhooks
  • JIRA Service Management

Your day will be filled with gathering requirements from a number of groups across the company determining the business needs and evaluating if Jira is the appropriate tool to accomplish their goal. You will mentor groups in the appropriate adoption of Jira while leveraging the Jira environment to support them. In the short term, you will be expected to contribute to the migration from Jira Server Instance to a Cloud instance. The ideal candidate will have an advanced understanding of SDLC, Jira Server and Cloud and will have migrated an instance from Server to Cloud.

You will enable scrum teams to improve productivity through improved Jira usage that aligns with modern SDLC methodologies, participate in an upgrade from Jira Server to Cloud, as well as supporting a large user base that relies on Jira for data driven decisions at all levels of the business.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field (specifically Computer Science)
  • 5+ years of Jira Administrator experience.
  • Solid understanding of JIRA/Portfolio/Confluence/JIRA Service Desk workflows, permissions schemes, notification schemes and screen schemes.
  • Demonstrated experience in installing, configuring and administering Atlassian plugins with experience configuring and maintaining application links between JIRA and Confluence and other applications.
  • Project management experience, including the ability to facilitate meetings, capture detailed notes and actions, and bring teams together to align plans for JIRA administration, configuration, workflows and implementations.
  • A motivated self-starting personality, able to work independently while maintaining patience with constant interruptions and multiple requests.
  • Project delivery experience while being part of an agile software development team:
  • Desired, but not required: CSM/CSPO or similar agile credential;
  • Must demonstrate a broad understanding of agile software development practices;
  • Must be comfortable working with mission critical and sensitive systems, with a sense of urgency appropriate to the responsibilities;
  • Must demonstrate advanced abilities to team and mentor and demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience with JIRA Portfolio setup, configuration, and administration;
  • Experience with setup and configuration of Smartsheet Connector for JIRA;
  • Experience with setup and configuration of Salesforce Connector for JIRA;
  • Must be capable of training relevant teams/users in the usage of JIRA/Confluence/JIRA Service Desk and JIRA Portfolio

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Administer JIRA/Confluence/JIRA Service Desk on-prem and Cloud software and integrate with other Atlassian tools including JIRA Portfolio.
  • Work with our Program and Project Management Office, software development and support stakeholders in designing, developing and maintaining workflows.
  • Work closely with the relevant teams to optimize workflows and ensure necessary data is accessible and clean.
  • Monitor issues and provide up-to-date status reports.
  • Bring stakeholders together on a recurring basis for JIRA Portfolio planning meetings, followed by regular standups to track progress, all of which are led by the candidate.
  • Monitor and coordinate all JIRA system operations, including security procedures and liaison with corporate IT, security, NOC and compliance teams.
  • Ensure that necessary system backups are performed, and storage and rotation of backups are accomplished.
  • Coordinate major/minor Atlassian software installations, upgrades and patch management.
  • Use tools like Smartsheets, Google Sheets and Google Slides to document proposed and final/approved configurations
  • Holds a current JIRA Administrator or Atlassian System Administrator Certification, combined with a full year or more of working in the role of a JIRA administrator for a software company that is implementing agile software development practices.
