The Rotational Program - Digital and Client Experience participates in a comprehensive rotational program that combines senior leadership interaction and cross-business experience with real life situations and projects. This job works with financial services technology platforms and tools and learns techniques, disciplines and processes to become more familiar with financial services. Each rotation is designed to improve business knowledge and build an overall understanding of the company. This job is assigned a mentor who provides ongoing coaching and feedback.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

The Digital & Client Experience (D&CX) team is a diverse area within TIAA that solves real business problems to improve the experiences of our clients. D&CX's purpose and objective is to delight clients by transforming TIAA's culture and practices around client centricity, creating confidence and simplicity in our end-to-end experiences. Associates can expect to work on solutions for real business problems and will learn the techniques, disciplines and processes that deliver the highest quality results to our customers.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

As a Rotational Associate in the D&CX Rotational Program, you will be tasked with utilizing academic knowledge, skills, and experience to help solve real business challenges.

As part of the 2-year program, you will have the opportunity to work within one of the tracks below in a specifically designed series of rotational assignments:

  • Rotational Associates in this area will assist with creating design process flows, wireframes and prototypes to effectively conceptualize and communicate design strategies. You would also refine graphic design, storyboarding, site mapping and user testing skills as you work with design, content, marketing, analytics, IT and product teams on refining TIAAs user experiences. You would work as part of a mission team to execute our user journey's, across responsive web and native mobile experiences in support of our multi-year strategy to evolution of our end user experiences and supporting our mission of delivering lifetime income for all, with investments that build a better world. The rotational segments may include time with one of our D&CX teams that is closely aligned to the work of the Design team.

Experience Product Management (XPM): Rotational Associates in this area will assist in providing data-driven analysis of customer behavior and trends for key experiences/channels within specific client journeys. You will support our journey leads (who own the end to end client journeys) with monitoring the health of our journeys, develop hypothesis, create presentations, track key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate company products and compare them to industry trends, develop detailed customer experience maps and identify potential areas of friction or complexity that may warrant improvements. Your skills would further develop as you focus your talents in providing critical support as well as efficiency and automation ideas in respect to our feature/capability roadmaps, continuous improvement, and cross enterprise partnerships. The rotational segments may include time within one of our D&CX teams that is closely aligned to the work of the XPM team.

Advice Strategy & Experiences: Rotational Associates in this area will support management and leadership who oversee a cross-functional product development and strategy team. The Product Strategy Analyst assists with defining, designing, developing, and delivering new products or experiences related to advice tools and experiences to meet the needs of the marketplace by supporting the team creating product, promotion, communication and distribution strategies designed to achieve business objectives. The rotational segments may include time within one of our D&CX teams that is closely aligned to the work of the Advice team.

Enterprise Analytics: Rotational Associates in this area will leverage and grow your skills in business analytics/data science, report development, and data governance/controls as you rotate through at least 3 of the following TIAA Enterprise Analytics groups: Product & Customer Insights, Customer Experience & Engagement Analytics, Reporting and Business Intelligence Solutions, and Data Engineering & Stewardship. Along the way, you will help answer important business questions and connect with senior management, other professionals in the data and analytics community, and business partners throughout the organization. The rotational segments may include time within one of our D&CX teams that is closely aligned to the work of the Analytics team.

Requirements:

  • Must be a current intern with TIAA, TIAA Bank or Nuveen to be considered for this role.
  • Full-time student, pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree.
  • Graduation date between August 2023 - June 2024.

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Communications, Marketing, Computer Science, Anthropology, Psychology, Graphic Design, Research, Liberal Arts, any other STEM-related degree
  • Desire to continuously learn and improve.

  • Internship experience is a plus.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills (ie. PowerPoint).
  • Interest in performing research analyses using models and techniques to derive product trends and insights.
  • Ability to support the management and execution of product solutions and marketplace demands with project planning, tracking, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration processes.
  • Familiarity or desire to learn agile methodology.

Desired Skills for Analytics Track:

  • Able to research, process information, document findings and communicate decisions and insights.
  • Exposure to programming concepts and languages (e.g. Visual Basic, SQL, Python, SAS, R, or SPSS)
  • Experience visualizing data and results (e.g. Excel/PowerPoint charts, Tableau, PowerBI, or SAS Visual Analytics)

Related Skills

Base Pay Range: $30.00/hr. - $31.25/hr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
