Job Description Summary:
Partner with the Global HR and Leadership to help define the next generation of Workday capabilities that will help transform and evolve talent and rewards management; enabling PayPal to compete in the ever evolving-changing business climate. We seek a proven leader who can helps us imagine the ‘art of the possible’ and provide a platform strategy that enables PayPal to continue to evolve our HR capital platform and system of record. In this role, you will help shape and inform next generation capabilities that will inform talent, rewards and diversity programs intended to enable the wellbeing of our global workforce and positioning PayPal to attract, secure, guide and retain the best talent. Deliver persona-based offerings to ensure a rich, efficient and flexible experiencesWe seek an experienced technologist and Workday expert who has demonstrated expertise in HR/Human Capital; one who has played an integral – though leadership role in similar transformations and understands the complexities of a global and diverse workforce. We seek a leader whose technical expertise includes: Workforce Planning, Performance & Talent Management, Recruiting-Onboarding, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, Employee Experiences and Diversity & Inclusion. Proven ability to envision, launch and deliver step-function programs. One who understands the nuance of leading, managing, guiding and influencing. Job Description:
The Workday (WD) Product Manager will deliver a secure, modern, resilient, scalable and multi-tenant platform that will enable PayPal’s continued growth and workforce enablement. The successful leader will be seen as promoting innovation, be data driven, frame options and be a trusted partner. The WD Product Manager will promptly assess current state, define future state, develop a multi-year investment plan and supporting roadmaps that when executed will deliver against the defined strategy-outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Trusted Technology Partner: Serve as the resident expert for all things Workday, as a technical partner for the HR Centers of Expertise; developing rich, influential and trusted partnerships with key stakeholder and constituents. Demonstrate the ability to navigate internal networks, build internal consensus and lead from all dimensions as necessary.
- Strategic Thinker and Innovator: Bring outside-in thinking to the organization, highlighting industry trends that should be considered and evaluated. Act as an innovator, disruptor and executioner in informing and driving all aspects of our HR technical strategy.
- Future of Work: serve as an active partner and influencer as PayPal re-envisions how work is done in the next stage of digital workforce. Contribute to outlining and shaping new working norms and how our global workforce will operate in a hybrid virtual and physical world.
- Platform Mind-Set: Establish the go-forward architecture and goals that will deliver the desired-intended outcomes relating to platform security, scalability and resiliency; establish a product mind-set that enables this technology vertical to thrive.
- Product Mind-Set: Develop a product mind-set that is focused on delivering the needs of the business. In a technology-enabled product organization, the staff exists to service the needs of your customers, within the constraints of the business.
- Platform Gap Analysis: Assess gaps between current and target platform architectures, evaluate options, and develop appropriate solution-based strategies leveraging PayPal's technologies in combination with 3rd party, open source and COTS products.
- Lead-Manage-Coach the team: Be a dynamic leader who can instill PayPal’s values into the team and can guide-develop the team to be a high-performing team that deliver the desired business results in a manner keeping with our culture.
- Internal Consultant: Provide expertise to business units and colleagues across the company who are building platform, infrastructure, and database applications and frameworks.
- External Voice: Represent PayPal to external parties in building long-term roadmaps and influencing products provided by strategic partners.
