Journeyman Digital Designer

ARETUM, a leading technology-driven government contracting company, is seeking a skilled Journeyman Digital Designer to join our team. As a Journeyman Digital Designer at Aretum, you will be responsible for creating visually engaging and impactful designs for various digital platforms.

• As a Digital designer, you be assisting Sr. Digital designer in collaborating with other teams to define requirements, iterate on design solutions, and contribute expertise for various digital products.
• You will be you be assisting Sr. Digital designer for incorporating Human Centered Design principles in digital designs for websites and mobile apps.
• Assisting Sr. Digital designer in researching and applying industry best practices in Human Centered Design methodology.
• Participate in design discussions and give feedback during planning and strategy meetings.
• Quickly translate ideas into sketches, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Test assets and optimize based on their performance.
• Iterate new designs based on user feedback.
• Create digital assets (static, video, and HTML) for a range of platforms (websites, mobile apps, etc.).

Requirements

• Experience in Human Centered Design methodology, rapid prototyping, and user testing. 
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment. 
• Experience working directly with developers to implement designs. 
• Expertise with standard digital design tools, including Sketch, FIGMA etc. 
• Working knowledge of CSS and HTML. 
• Knowledge of current digital design best practices and web/Mobile apps techniques. 
• Experience creating digital assets for a variety of target audiences. 
• Highly self-motivated and directed, able to exercise independent judgment and act. 
• Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills 
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Minimum Secret Security Clearance (or Interim) is required before start. 
• IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE, GICSP, CND, or equivalent) is required before start. 
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 
• 3+ years of working experience in digital design in an Agile environment. 
• Experience with JIRA/Confluence or similar tools.
