Journeyman Electrician

Responsible for installing new electrical systems and troubleshooting and repairing existing electrical systems in accordance to all applicable electrical codes. The ideal candidate will: • Effectively communicate with customers, vendors, subcontractors and crew • Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes • Plan layout and install electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and all applicable codes • Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services • Update the Electrical Superintendent on job status and progress of assigned tasks as needed • Prepare daily reports • Read blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment to ensure conformance with building and safety codes • Be self-motivated, ability to work both independently and as part of a crew and willing to work out of town Complete benefits package including: Medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA and company sponsored life and accident insurance, LTD, critical illness, EAP, 401(k), vacation and sick pay, short/long term disability, supplemental insurance and public works fringes retirement plan. The ideal candidate will have the following skills: • 2-4 years’ experience as Journeyman Electrician in Commercial/Industrial jobs • Current Journeyman Electrician State Certification • Experience and certification with high voltage is a big plus • Proficient in installation of power systems, lighting, solar, and commercial/industrial jobs • Proficient in identifying and repairing faults in electrical apparatus and circuits • Good verbal and written communication skills • Able to work under pressure • Able to pass drug and background test and have a clean driving record • Have own tools *Salary will be based on experience.
