Job description

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician to support, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems in a high-demand manufacturing environment. This position requires advanced electrical knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while ensuring equipment reliability and safety. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including AC and DC drives, medium-voltage equipment, and transformers. • Perform advanced troubleshooting on electrical circuits, motors, controls, and production machinery using electronic test equipment. • Read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, and ladder logic diagrams to diagnose and resolve electrical and control system issues. • Support PLC-based equipment with basic programming knowledge, reading ladder logic, and assisting with process-related troubleshooting. • Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems as they relate to electrical and control issues. • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance. • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to support continuous improvement and efficient plant operations. Qualifications • 3+ years of industrial or heavy manufacturing electrical experience preferred. • Proficient in advanced troubleshooting and use of test equipment. • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and manuals. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment with minimal supervision.
