Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both commercial, residential and industrial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in reading schematics, utilizing various electrical tools, and adhering to the National Electrical Code (NEC). This role requires a strong understanding of logic controllers, voltmeters, and ohmmeters. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial and industrial settings. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems. • Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to complete tasks safely and efficiently. • Troubleshoot electrical issues using voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure proper functionality. • Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time while adhering to safety standards. • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC). • Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement. • Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or less experienced electricians. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician in both commercial and industrial environments. (Mainly commercial) • Strong knowledge of logic controllers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment. • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately. • Familiarity with power tools and hand tools commonly used in electrical work • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. • Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations.
