Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanics, Journeymen & Junior electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both industrial and commercial electrical work, with proficiency in handling various electrical systems and components. This role involves working on construction sites, performing renovations, and ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to NEC standards. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting and repairs. • Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify hazards or defects and ensure compliance with safety regulations. • Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to complete projects efficiently. • Perform low voltage and high voltage installations as required. • Engage in renovation projects that require electrical modifications or upgrades. • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Requirements • Proven experience as an electrician in both industrial and commercial settings. • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety practices. • Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical installations. • Familiarity with NEC regulations and compliance standards. • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus. • Ability to work effectively on construction sites with a focus on safety protocols. • Experience in frame carpentry or maintenance person tasks is advantageous. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for this role. • Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations.
