This job request is for an experienced residential Journeyman that can project manage and do all phases of residential electrical work. Custom Electrical Services is currently seeking an experienced Residential Journeymen electrician to work on upcoming and existing projects. You should possess an exceptional skill set, attention to detail, and a flexible can-do attitude. We require you to have experience with all phases of electrical in residential environments. POSITION SUMMARY: Our perfect new hire employee will be highly skilled in all aspects of Residential Electrical work including service work, EV charger installation, rewire, and new construction. They will be able to work alone if required and complete troubleshoot/repair jobs, Service/Panel Replacement, House Rewire work, and New Construction. We are looking for someone who has a clean professional appearance, is responsible, can manage a project, and speak with the homeowner. JOB DUTIES INCLUDE: Be dedicated and self-motivated, with excellent organizational skills. Provide clear communication and professional personal appearance. Sustain license by keeping CEU s current per Washington State laws. Read and interpret blue prints and schematics. Layout and install electrical systems based on job specs, design, and local codes. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Locate cause of breakdowns & diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools to correct the problem. Work well as part of a team or alone without supervision. Independently perform challenging electrical maintenance and repair. Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, while incorporating safety equipment and safe work practices. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a Journeyman Electrical EL-02 License or apprentice card. Possession of a valid Washington State Driver's License. Strong residential experience. Tools and Transportation Committed to wear company apparel; safety equipment Understand installation, trouble-shooting, and repair of transformers, panel upgrades Competent in field maintenance methods and techniques for a wide range of electrical equipment. Experience across a broad range of electrical systems and equipment. Understand and comply with pertinent Federal, State and local laws, codes and regulations. Must hold a High school diploma or GED plus experience in the Electrical Trade with Journey-level experience (installation, maintenance and repair). Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings. Good working knowledge of current electrical standards and codes Verifiable references.
