Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires hands-on experience in various plumbing tasks, the ability to read and interpret schematics, and a commitment to safety on construction sites. The Journeyman Plumber will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure that all plumbing systems are functioning efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial buildings and construction projects. • Serve as a lead on construction projects and run crews as needed. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various plumbing tasks. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems. • Perform pipe threading, soldering, and other necessary techniques for pipe installation. • Collaborate with other trades to ensure integrated system functionality. • Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or needed repairs. • Maintain cleanliness and organization on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols. • Lift heavy materials as required for installation or repair tasks. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Plumber with relevant certifications or licenses. • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment specific to plumbing work. • Strong understanding of schematics related to plumbing systems. • Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus. • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing installations. • Ability to perform responsibilities as needed during installations or repairs. • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed. • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
