Journeyman Plumber Technician

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing systems and be able to work effectively in various environments, including residential, commercial, and construction sites. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to read and interpret schematics. As a Journeyperson Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems while ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations. Duties • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems. • Perform remodeling tasks related to plumbing installations and upgrades. • Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and HVAC technicians, to complete projects efficiently. • Conduct field service calls to diagnose plumbing issues and provide effective solutions. • Utilize basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations during installations. • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and local building codes. • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Requirements • Valid Journeyman/Journeywoman Plumbing License or equivalent certification. • Proven experience in construction plumbing with a strong mechanical knowledge base. • Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus. • Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately. • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients. • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials as needed. • A commitment to safety practices on construction sites.
