Journeyman Systems Design Engineer

Torch is seeking a degreed Systems Design or Hardware Engineer for a role in an active Hardware-in-the-Loop lab in support of the Missile Defense program. Candidates will work closely with teammates within the lab as well across several other labs.

Role and Responsibilities

• Analyzes existing systems and defines, designs and develops new system requirements.
• Analyzes test cases and scenarios and reports results.
• Debugs moderately complex test hardware and software and makes improvements or modifications to produce desired results.
• Determines system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
• Interfaces with technical support personnel, drafters, technical writers and engineering technicians as required.
• Develops and maintains technical procedures and documentation.

• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Design Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related Engineering
• 2-5 years relevant work experience
• Ability to work both independently and with teams that may span organizations.
• Experience with Radar and/or Missile Systems desired
