Jr. Financial Analyst

Job Description: Our client in Northern Virginia is looking for a Jr. Financial Analyst to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop technical solutions to business problems - define, analyze and communicate project requirements to development team
• Analyze existing processes and provide suggestions to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness
• Creating reports such as Budget to Actual, forecasting, and trend analysis
• Cultivate understanding of key business drivers in pursuit of creating detailed financial models using variable inputs
• Develop subject-matter expertise in the operations in order to effectively measure, analyze and report operations efficiency
• Provide continual communication and reporting to the sales team and upper management, including interpretation of progress compared to expectations
• Act as a liaison between the finance department and other departments and management
• Other ad hoc projects related to finance and/or accounting

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university of equivalent experience, Finance concentrations preferred
• Exceptional analytical, problem solving, organizational, and project management skills
• 1-3 years of experience using structured methodologies in analysis
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Excellent communication skills
