What’s The Role About:

Puffco is seeking a Jr. Industrial Designer with exceptional taste and immaculate attention to detail to join our team. You are driven by passion to learn more in your journey to master your craft. You cleverly balance product design, graphic design, and cmf in each design you touch, continuing to contribute to an exceptional product portfolio. You want to be a part of a fine-tuned team that brings products to global markets and provides priceless experience in every step of the product development process. Your portfolio should highlight your process, from sketching and model making to 3D printing and renderings. Are you ready to design the future of cannabis consumption? 

This is a hybrid work environment, with 2-3 days at HQ in downtown Los Angeles.

Major Responsibilities:

• Execute innovative design solutions for new and existing products 
• Effectively articulate your design rationale both visually and orally. 
• Sketch, model, and create prototypes to validate ideas  
• Generate photo-realistic renderings   
• Generate and update cmf documentation for manufacturers 
• Explore consumer treads, materials, finishes colors and technology  
• Use rapid prototyping and 3D printing to quickly visualize concepts 
• Gather inspiration to build mood boards to support future design directions 
• Understanding and empathy for the final user experience 
• Understand the competitive landscape and differentiate our products from imposters 
• Represent consumer-centric thinking 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or Undergrad in industrial design 
• Outstanding portfolio of work and a history of successful projects 
• Strong understanding of CMF and document control 
• Hands-on experience in rapid prototyping
• Experience with 3D printing and model making 
• Excellent abilities in Solidworks surfacing and Keyshot renderings or comparable softwares 
• Excellent concept sketching and ideation skills 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Excellent attention to detail

Compensation:
This is a contract role with the opportunity to transition to employee, after an initial period

The budgeted compensation for this role for candidates based in CA is $25-30 hourly
