We are looking for Jr Risk Associate to innovate, win, and grow with us remotely!

As a member of the Paymode Business Solutions team, you will spend your time authenticating sensitive business and bank account data for Paymode-X customers by applying investigative and analytical research techniques to mitigate risk and fraud.  

How you'll contribute:

• Review high-risk account documentation; ensure information is complete and accurate, and work with customers (via phone, email, web) to obtain missing information
• Regularly make critical decisions on application data leveraging third-party tools and best practices/policies that affect the overall security of our payments network
• Analyze documents for suspicious discrepancies and counterfeit instruments 
• Utilize web research and data tools to validate and investigate discrepancies in new customer applications to mitigate risk in the network
• Promote a risk-aware culture; ensure efficient and effective risk and anti-fraud practices by adhering to required policies and procedures  
• Communicate with financial institutions to verify account information 
• Escalate suspicious high-risk activity to management 
• Interact with various levels of Management to clarify requirements and collaborate on process improvements 
• Develop working relationships with key business partners across the firm 
• Assist with special projects as assigned

• Ability to work well under pressure, with a sense of urgency, and meet metrics
• Solid computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office software 
• Possessing strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills 
• Experience working in AML, Fraud, KYC Due Diligence, on-boarding commercial clients, reviewing various business documentation highly preferred 
• Experience with LexisNexis (preferred)
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Law, Accounting, Business, or similar course of study preferred
