Jr Staff Accountant

Our company designs, develops, and manufactures a variety of façade systems, interior wall and ceiling systems and custom art installations. Our widely published company is headquartered in a fast-paced design office and manufacturing facility in LA. We are seeking an organized, detail oriented and pro-active person with varied accounting experience. The successful candidate must have experience handling a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks and be able to work well within an environment of constantly changing priorities.

The ideal candidate will have had significant experience in a manufacturing environment, where cost accounting principles are used on a daily basis. Strong Syteline ERP/CSI experience is strongly needed. Candidates should be able to contribute immediately to monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing, including helping with preparation of financial statement support schedules, journal entries, AP and reconciliations. This position is reporting to the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment; Match invoices to checks and verify information is correct.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions, enter credit cards purchase charges and reconcile account, Enter vendor bills and 1099 maintenance.
• Handle special projects as needed
• Handle daily administrative tasks (e.g. data administration, accounting support, etc)
• Manage all information confidentially and with discretion
• Ability to work with/learn new technology

Skills:

• Must be able to quickly acclimate to an incredibly fast-paced environment and be able to anticipate needs in advance
• 3+ years of recent and relevant accounts payable experience
• 5+ years of ERP system experience
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with superb listening skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization skills a must
• Knowledge of basic office procedures and customer service skills required
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time

Requirements:

• Fluent in English
• BA/BS degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• Must have 4+ years of experience in an administrative setting.
• Manufacturing and Distribution experience is a plus

• Recent Syteline/Cloud suite Industrial ERP Experience Required
• Strong accounting background and education
• Ability to meet multiple reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• BA in Accounting/Finance/Business, Manufacturing Accounting or related education/experience
• Expert proficiency with Excel.
• Understanding of financial data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills.
• Must be able to communicate financial information into sound business language so people of all levels can understand.

The estimated base salary range for this role is $67,000-69,000. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors.
