Job Summary:

The Junior Business Coordinator is responsible for developing and coordinating cross-functional efforts throughout the organization. He/she will be responsible for providing traditional support functions as needed (detailed reporting, creating enrollment packets, documentation upload, data reconciliation/analysis, etc). The Junior Coordinator will work under the direction of the Business Operations Supervisor to support various projects and tasks focused on process and efficiency improvements. The Junior Coordinator will also assist with the design and implementation of these projects and tasks. He/she will help track projects to completion on schedule, on budget, and with exceptional customer satisfaction. The Junior Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring all internal resources are collectively moving towards implementation. For the right individual, this position has significant growth potential.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Have a general understanding of the DER business, Supply, and the markets NRG conducts business in
  • Provide administrative support for the Operations Supervisor
  • Support ongoing reporting and create new reporting as needed
  • Assist the Operations Supervisor with driving process improvement initiatives across multiple departments
  • Leverage abstract, strategic, and creative thinking skills to solve problems with minimal oversight or direction
  • Have strong organizational, time-management and interpersonal skills
  • The desire to achieve and exceed all assigned goals
  • Handle multiple tasks or assignments simultaneously
  • Willing and able to take on various types of work
  • Work well under pressure, remaining focused and calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Be a motivated self-starter
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with a diverse group of customers and internal departments
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
  • Work well in an both individual and team environments
Working Conditions:

  • Open office environment
  • Hybrid; 3 days a week in the office
  • Some overtime required as special projects arise

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education and 2 plus years of professional work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both individually and in a team setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or similar field
  • Previous energy-related experience
  • MS Office Proficiency

  • Will be required to perform additional duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
