Jr. Cyber Range Engineer

Location(s): Orlando, FL; Fort Meade, MD

Job Summary: Cole Engineering Services is seeking highly motivated candidates to provide systems administration, cybersecurity, and account management support for the Joint Cyber Training Enterprise Technical Operations Management program.

Essential Job Functions:

Create user accounts and assist the support desk content issues as required.

Utilize Grafana dashboards, Jira Service Manager tools to monitor and maintain the system.

Satisfy end user account support requests and utilize metrics to continually improve.

Support systems across the spectrum of Unclassified, Secret, and Sec/REL levels.

Provide weekend help desk support as required.

Required Skills:

Demonstrated an understanding of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Identity Management (IdM) and Single Sign On (SSO) using Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).

Attention to detail ensuring usernames have been accurately entered with less than 5% error limiting follow on correction actions.

Analyzes real world problems and implements solutions according to corporate guidelines and procedures, and industry best practices.

Provides professional-level IT, virtual environment, and network support functions.

Must be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment and able to work with a range of engineers holding a diverse set of skills at differing levels of experience.

Be sensitive and flexible to the needs and requirements of the customer.

Excellent communications skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.

Interact with vendors/users/customers and developers to understand needs and operational requirements changes that will impact the production environment.

Ability to solve technical problems involving a variety of integrated software and hardware platforms.

Required Education/Experience:

Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II or greater certification such as Security+, CISSP or other equivalent certification.

Associates degree in a technical discipline such as information technology, computer science, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university.

Other Requirements: Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with an active SECRET clearance, and an ability to attain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.
