Jr. Data Scientist

We are currently hiring a Jr. Data Scientist in Fort Worth, Texas. The Jr. Data Scientist will work closely to help solve business problems through data automation (ETL), visualization, and advanced analytics. The Jr. Data Scientist will work to extract knowledge and insights from structured and unstructured data while helping to define and implement data science solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Able to build, clean, and manipulate data to make actionable datasets for both analysis and machine learning projects.
• Perform exploratory data analysis of data sources to provide actionable insights, both to inform business decisions as well as to plan for AI/ML projects.
• Willingness to develop and refine Python skills, that can be integrated into production level projects.
• Producing and disseminating non-technical reports that detail the process, successes, and limitations of each project.
• Ability to explain results through visualization that effectively describes key observations in the data.
• Present outputs to a Senior Data Scientist and make adjustments based on the feedback.
• Staying informed about developments in Data Science and adjacent fields to ensure that outputs are always relevant.
• Beginner understanding of statistical programming in a language such as R, SAS, or Python. Strong preference for Python.
• Intermediate (advanced preferred) understanding of data transformation with tools such as SQL and Alteryx.
• Intermediate (advanced preferred) understanding of data visualization with tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• 2 Years of Relevant Experience
• Work hours: Standard, Monday - Friday
• Travel Requirements: Up to 10%

Preferred Qualification/Skills/Experience:

• Great at solving problems, debugging, troubleshooting, and designing & implementing solutions to complex technical issues.
• Thrive on teamwork and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong technical and analytical abilities, a knack for driving impact and growth, and some experience with programming/scripting.
