Creative Plastics, a designer and manufacturer of award winning, quality displays for a variety of markets, including retailers in the Health & Beauty sector is seeking a Junior Design Engineer. As a Jr Design Engineer with Creative Plastics, you will utilize SolidWorks to produce detailed drawings and instructions for displays and fixtures for a variety of retailers in the Health and Beauty market. Our products are manufactured in our state-of-the-art production facilities utilizing the latest technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes SolidWorks to develop designs for displays and fixtures for the Health & Beauty category based on the direction/feedback of the Customer and Account Team.
• Provide support to the Engineering team and other company departments including customer service, quality control and supply chain.
• Contribute to building a 'rapid prototyping' culture to test and prove-out ideas by creating prototype parts by using rapid prototyping and traditional model making technologies.
• Participate in product testing of prototypes to aid the design process.
• Develop unique solutions to solve product design challenges.
• Create Instruction sheets to match clients branded templates.
• Support the Product Development engineers and designers to develop solid models, engineering drawings and BOMS's for new product concepts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience as a design engineer working on display and fixtures for retail.
• Suitable candidates must be proficient in SolidWorks with an eye for design as well as strong mechanical aptitude.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
