Jr. Front End Developer
Job Description
Spatial Front provides IT solutions to federal, state, and local governments, and the private sector.
All candidates must be willing to go through the fingerprinting and background check process prior to having an official start date with Spatial Front.
Summary of Major Job Functions:
We are looking for a Junior Front End Developer to join our team. This position will be involved with full life cycle software development/DevOps for a federal agency. The candidate is responsible for using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. They will be augmenting user-interface code and responsible for the creation of simple to moderately complex user experiences.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test and integrate of custom web applications and solutions interfacing with backend services
- Develop new user-facing features using React
- Translate mock ups into high quality code
- Optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability
- 1-3 years of development experience of front end applications using HTML/CSS/JavaScript and React
- Work with a development team for the development of both front-end web application and back-end services, assist back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of recent hands-on front-end development experience using HTML5/CSS3, SASS, JavaScript
- 1-3 years of experience with React
- Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS
- Solid understanding of web technologies and alignment with the latest trends and best practices
- Excellent communication, time-management, and process-management skills
Desired Skills:
- Strong grasp of web design principles
- Familiarity with common libraries such as Redux, Bootstrap, and React Query
- Experience in applying Agile/Scrum methodology
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with development teams and customers
Additional Information:
- In order to meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be US Citizen and/or Current Green Card Holder.
- All candidates will be subject to a complete background check to include, but not limited to Criminal History, Education Verification, Professional Certification Verification, Verification of Previous Employment and Credit History.
- Public Trust background investigations can take approximately four to eight weeks and requires fingerprinting.
Other Information:
- The salary for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually
