The Opportunity:
PureSpectrum is seeking a Jr. IT Engineer to oversee the computing needs of the company. You will coordinate the functions of computer systems and make sure that hardware, software, networks, and other related applications work efficiently. You are also responsible for training staff in correct operating procedures.
You should be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner; this includes being comfortable engaging with external and internal service providers to provide customized technical solutions and take care of the acquisition and deployment of IT assets.
Your Responsibilities:

• Meeting with the IT manager to discuss system needs.
• Responding to general IT requests. Responding to technical support calls from end users of computers and software applications.
• Work with third parties and vendors to ensure service quality and rectify issues to minimize downtime impact to business operations.
• Setting up and installing new computers, networks, and software
• Setting up user accounts and profiles on the network and internal applications.
• Installing updates, known as patches, to software applications
• Installing and configuring operating systems, anti-virus software and other applications such as Microsoft Office
• Diagnosing and fixing network problems and hardware or software faults
• Maintaining inventories of hardware and software
• Keeping a record of issues and faults along with solutions, for future reference.
• Training staff on newly installed hardware and software systems.

Requirements:

• Graduate or Postgraduate in Computer Science or Information Technology from any reputed University.
• 2 to 4 years of proven working experience in IT or relevant experience, preferably in Market Research companies.
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
• Familiarity with operating systems, such as Windows, Mac, Linux, and UNIX.
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
• Technical Certifications are an added advantage.
• Solid judgment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Ability to be proactive in anticipating problems and provide solutions.
• A passion for curiosity and a drive to always be learning.
• Ability to foster positive relationships across teams and customers.
• Experience is any help desk ticketing system.
• Willing to work in Night Shifts (ANZ, EST or PST time zones) and in shifts rotating 24x7.
