Jr. Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
Job Description
Position Overview:
Do you love building ⚙️ products people love? As a Jr. SDET you will work with our developers and product team to build out innovative virtual queueing helping guests get out of physical queues and allowing them to maximize their day at over 40 venues worldwide.
As a member of our Engineering Team, you'll have the chance to collaborate on exciting projects and find creative solutions to coding obstacles. Your curiosity to continue learning, as well as a knack for problem-solving 🧐, will be key to delivering innovative products to our clients and their guests, as our team members are always looking for new ways to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Location: UK. This role can be performed on a hybrid schedule with one pay per week in our Twyford, Berkshire office for hardware testing.
Reports to: Software QA Manager
Travel ✈️ Requirement:
What you’ll be working on:
- Develop reliable automated test cases
- Raising, tracking, and re-testing defects until resolution while performing hardware testing
- Ensure we are achieving high levels of test automation by appropriately guiding, from a test perspective, use case analysis and scenario generation
- Work collaboratively with developers so that test failures are found as early as possible
- Ensuring all tests are executed as required and results and statistics are clearly communicated in line
What you bring to the role:
- 6 months to 1 year+ experience with C#
- Note: ‘years of experience’ may not always be the best measure for your ability to succeed in this role. If the below bullet points feel like you, please consider applying – even if you don’t have, say, X years in seat.
- Experience with HTML5 and JavaScript
- Interest and ability to test applications thoroughly, with a strong eye for detail
- Exposure with any of of the following Continuous Integration tools: Jenkins, Hudson, Team City
- Strong understanding of OOP concepts
- Comfortable working with any existing Test Automation Framework and ability to contribute towards the improvement of the Test Framework
⭐️ Bonus points if you have:
- Knowledge & experience working with Agile development methods
- Experience in using Non-Functional and Functional automations tools such as JMeter and Selenium
- Experience of supporting, modifying and maintaining systems and code developed by teams
- Experience working with code repositories (e.g. Git, SVN), bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Bugzilla)
