JT490 - AGRONOMY FIELD RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Responsibilities:

• Potentially perform a variety of routine tasks associated with Phytogen Seed Company's research program.
• Perform additional tasks as required by the supervising field technician.
• Assist with repair and maintenance of field equipment, limited operation of field equipment, organization of samples during harvesting and/or processing, and limited driving of a company vehicle.
• The type of task will depend on the stage of the annual research program and will be seasonal in nature.
• Tasks can be performed in an indoor and/or outdoor environment.
• Responsible for performing a wide range of tasks or a specific task depending on the stage of the seasonal research program.
• Field research operations related to planting, thinning, weeding, pollination, and sample collection.
• Sample processing operations including supply preparation, sorting, ginning, weighing, preparation for shipment, and seed packaging.
• General operations of the facility, including general cleaning, organizing samples and supplies, and other routine tasks as they arise.
• Operation of mobile field equipment, such as a tractor or cotton harvester, and stationary field equipment, such as a module builder.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Agronomy. (Required)
• Leadership and organizational skills.
• No experience required.
• Knowledge of Sample processing operations
• Must be able to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Valid ID
• 18+
• Availability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
