Junior Accountant

We are looking for an ambitious Junior Accountant to join our tax team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles and be eager to learn and grow within the role. This position will involve assisting with various accounting tasks to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial records and reports, to be used in the preparation of US tax returns.

We will trust you to:

• Import and code transactions from source documents / files
• Prepare bank account reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset registers
• Assist with payroll processing and reconciliation
• Pass general ledger entries required to report an accurate set of financial reports
• Assist with preparing the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Prepare US corporate and partnership tax returns
• Perform adhoc reporting tasks as required

You will be trained by your direct supervisor in the software and tax department process and procedures.

Training in tax return preparation will be follow once you have become familiar with the accounting process.

• Fluency in English (Written and Verbal Skills)
• Good MS Office skills, especially in using Excel
• At least one year of experience
• Finance/accounting degree preferred
• A good understanding of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills with proactive, supportive, and positive approach
