Junior Accountant (Maternity Cover)

LEAP is a market leader of SaaS for medium sized law firms. We are seeking an Accountant to join our highly motivated, high velocity team in Jersey City. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for managing daily operations related to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable & banking. This is a great opportunity to join an established SaaS business.

Please note: This will be a full-time role on a 6-9 month fixed parental leave cover. This role will be based out out of our Jersey City office on a hybrid schedule. This candidate would have access to some of LEAP's benefits and PTO offering after passing a 90-day induction period. The hourly wage is $40/hr.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Import & post daily banking transactions.
• Update & maintain customer financial profiles related to their subscription & financial status.
• Process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Process employee expense reports & assist with month-end reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly close - Reconciliation of bank accounts & deposits in transit.
• Assist the Financial Controller in various ad-hoc reconciliations reporting and analysis.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Excel with ability to manage and analyze complex data.
• Bachelor's accounting degree.
• Hands on experience with Salesforce and Zuora preferred.
• Treasury experience - creating electronic payments & maintaining payee templates.
• Understanding of lending/borrowing practices.
• Accurate and detailed orientated.
• Must be a self starter.
• Well organized multi-tasker with strong time-management skills.
• Strong communication skills with a problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines. Be flexible and resilient.
