Junior AI and Data Science Specialist (Intern)

Your Role and Responsibilities

• The Junior AI & Data Science Specialist is a team member in AI projects.
• They will train ML models develop applications and deploy them in IBM Cloud and/or on-premise.
• They will design AI application to perform business analyses in selected areas.
• Working with the country management team to define priorities the Junior AI & Data Science Specialist is responsible for learning IBM technologies and their practical applications in different business domains.
• The Junior AI & Data Science Specialist is responsible for maintaining good and professional relationships with mentors and other experts at IBM.
• They will become IBM Student Ambassadors being responsible for presenting projects technologies and promoting IBM programs during meetings with students at their universities.
• Finally they will work with their managers and mentors to communicate report and present outcomes of the projects in a timely manner.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Fluency in English
• Bachelor’s Degree (MS is a plus) ideally in IT (alternatively active studies at a Technical University)
• Proven experience of a successful teamwork project (preferably in AI and Data Science)
• Experience in building ML models
• Good knowledge of application development cycle
• General knowledge of key IT technologies (computer architecture network protocols web technologies etc.)
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements priorities and timelines and adjust implementation plans accordingly.
• Strong analytical skills able to derive meaningful insights from data and to present them in a clear and actionable form
• Good communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders including top management
• Ability to effectively plan and facilitate multi-disciplinary meetings and workgroups
• Proficient in Python R Jupyter notebooks and at least one more programming language
