Junior Analyst, Royalty Audit
Job Description
The role of the junior analyst is to perform analysis and administrative duties in support of the Audit Department's objectives.
What you'll do:- Prepare responses/documents with respect to auditor fieldwork information requests
- Participate in various research projects related to audits and litigation.
- Validate auditor’s excel-based claim schedules.
- Assist management in the quarterly financial processes as needed.
- Assist with special projects on an as-needed basis.
- Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, or Music Business. MBA a plus
- 1-2 years of related work experience, preferably in the audit or royalty accounting spaces.
- Must have demonstrated background of working on complex spreadsheets and large datasets in Excel.
- Access, SQL or other experience related to manipulating/slicing big data is a plus.
- Hands on experience with SAP or other financial systems desired.
- The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Advanced data management Excel skills (including v-lookup, formulas) required.
- Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects/ tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for spotting anomalies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Self-starter, with the ability to work independently and in teams.
- Ability to meet deadlines quickly and accurately.
- Track record demonstrating capability to multi-task and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Must have a curious nature and strong ability to learn quickly and apply new concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills is required.
