Junior Analyst, Royalty Audit

The role of the junior analyst is to perform analysis and administrative duties in support of the Audit Department's objectives.

• Prepare responses/documents with respect to auditor fieldwork information requests
• Participate in various research projects related to audits and litigation.
• Validate auditor’s excel-based claim schedules.
• Assist management in the quarterly financial processes as needed.
• Assist with special projects on an as-needed basis.

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, or Music Business. MBA a plus
• 1-2 years of related work experience, preferably in the audit or royalty accounting spaces.
• Must have demonstrated background of working on complex spreadsheets and large datasets in Excel.
• Access, SQL or other experience related to manipulating/slicing big data is a plus.
• Hands on experience with SAP or other financial systems desired.
• The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Advanced data management Excel skills (including v-lookup, formulas) required.
• Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects/ tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills with an eye for spotting anomalies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Self-starter, with the ability to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to meet deadlines quickly and accurately.
• Track record demonstrating capability to multi-task and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• Must have a curious nature and strong ability to learn quickly and apply new concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills is required.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $45k to $50k. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
